Delivery times

Unless a different deadline is specified in the respective offer, the goods will be delivered within Germany (Germany) within 3-5 days after conclusion of the contract (if advance payment has been agreed, after the time of your payment order). We roast our coffee beans ourselves and fresh every week. We select the green coffee carefully. This means: Before we decide on a coffee, we test and taste it extensively. For this purpose, our import partners provide us with samples, so-called samples.

To ensure consistently high quality, we check all fresh roasts in weekly cuppings. This ensures that your coffee beans always taste the way they should.

Processing Method

Washed Processing

Washed processing is the most common form of coffee processing. The coffee cherries are placed in so-called depulpers directly after harvesting. This is how it works: ripe and unripe coffee cherries are pressed against a sieve in a rotating drum by centrifugal force. With the right pressure, the softer flesh (also known as pulp) of the ripe cherries is released and the beans waft through the sieve. The hard pulp of the unripe coffee cherries is not released and remains in the drum of the machine.

Typica Variety

Coffea arabica var. typica is known for its very good flavor potential, tall growth and large coffee bean production. It probably originally comes from the Bourbon variety. However, due to the very different ways in which it spread, a whole new strand of mutations and cultivars developed from typica. The Dutch brought the seeds, which we usually call beans, to Indonesia, but had little luck cultivating them due to natural disasters. So they brought a plant to the Amsterdam Botanical Gardens, from where the seeds were taken to Central and South America in the course of the 18th century, where they were cultivated until the 1940s. Cultivation also began in Africa at the beginning of the 20th century. The variety was gradually replaced by Bourbon and other varieties because it is extremely susceptible to various coffee diseases, but it still plays a major role.

The Andes stretch along the west coast of Peru offers the ideal conditions for growing Arabica coffee. The country is one of the 10 largest coffee producers in the world, although per capita consumption is relatively low. Coffee production happens on many small farms, whose farmers organize themselves into cooperatives. Coffee is mainly grown in organic quality and the Arabica varieties Typica and Caturra dominate the cultivation.
