Our Burundi Kibingo coffee beans have a sweet, berry-like taste with notes of honey, redcurrant, and dried fig.
The green coffee comes from over 3500 smallholder farmers who cultivate it at an average altitude of 1900 meters. The coffee beans are processed at the Kibingo Washing Station using the Washed method. For this, they are fermented for up to 24 hours, washed, and then dried for about 20 days.
The small coffee growing areas are each between an eighth and a quarter hectare in size, which corresponds to approximately 150 to 300 plants. The beans come to us via Café Imports, with whom we have been working for over 5 years.
