Our Ethiopia Duwancho Natural coffee beans taste fruity and sweet with notes of ripe peach, Earl Grey and white sugar.
The green coffee comes from the Fahmi Washing Station in the Sidama region. It belongs to Testi Coffee, a company that Faysel A. Yonis and his wife founded in 2009. The two now operate over 20 washing stations in Ethiopia and produce celebrated coffees. The green coffee comes to us via Plotcoffee , a Hamburg-based company that focuses on ethically correct specialty coffee.
The beans are grown in the area around the Washing Station at around 1900 to 2150 meters and are delivered by only 10 different farmers for further processing. With these, Testi Coffee has launched a premium program in which the individual production steps are closely examined and optimized. The beans are therefore a real rarity. The green coffee of the 74148 variety is processed using the "natural" process and, after a water bath, rests on shaded raised beds for 30 days.
