Our Colombia La Bonita coffee beans taste fruity and floral with notes of honeydew melon, white tea and mango yoghurt.
The green coffee comes from the Finca La Bonita, where it is grown by Carlos Andrade and his family at 1990 m. Jorge Rojas and his team process the coffee cherries in his washing station in Planadas. His father died when Jorge was just 12 years old. Since then, he has worked with coffee and now runs three farms as well as the washing station in Planadas, where coffee from 12 farms is processed, including the Finca La Bonita.
The beans of the Pink Bourbon variety grow on the 2.5 hectare finca of the Andrade family. After harvesting, they are fermented for 48 hours at Jorge's in Planadas, then washed and finally dried. The green coffee comes to us via Nikolai Fürst from Desarrolladores de Cafe. Philip visited him in 2023 to get a first-hand impression of coffee cultivation in Colombia.
